Bungee Jumping in Nepal

Bungee jumping is an activity in which a person jumps off from a high place (generally of several hundred feet/meters) with one end of an elastic cord attached to his/her body or ankles and the other end tied to the jumping-off point. When the person jumps, the cord will stretch to take up the energy of the fall, then the jumper will fly upwards as the cord snaps back. The jumper oscillates up and down until the initial energy of the jump is dissipated.

Ultimate Bungee offers a 500-foot jump over a tropical gorge in the Himalayas of Nepal along the Tibetan border. The Bhote Koshi, one of Nepal's wildest rivers, rages below the steel suspension bridge that was specially designed for bungee jumping. The Swiss design can hold up to 4.5 tons of weight and is 545 feet wide, so there's no need to worry about your safety (at least not before jumping...) On top of it all, the dense jungle and pristine forest surrounding the cliff top gorge offer a spectacular view, which many consider to be one of the most beautiful in the world.

BUNGY JUMPING: if you thought bungee jumping was restricted to some places in Europe, New Zealand and the USA only, it’s high time you got an update. The sport has finally found a natural home among the highest mountain ranges in the world. The ultimate thrill of a bungee jump can now be experienced in Nepal at perhaps the best site in the world.

Zip-Flyer

The officially named Zip-Flyer Nepal is the world's most tallest, fastest and the longest zipline in the world located in Sarangkot- one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. It is not just another zipline; it is inclined at 56 degree, 1.8 km in length, 2000ft vertical drop and speeds of over 160kmph making it the most extreme ride in the world.

Imagine, You're standing on the platform overlooking the majestic Himalayas and a mind-boggling 2000 feet vertical drop. As you look down, the adrenaline begins to build up and your heart begins to beat faster. The countdown begins…5,4,3,2,1, and you're airborne. Gravity takes care of the ‘go' portion of the ride, a feeling of weightlessness sets in, the wind gushes against your face, as you plunge at speeds of over 160kmph. After a minute of pure adrenaline, and travelling a distance of almost 2km, the ride begins to slow down as you approach the landing. The advanced, magnetic braking system then brings you to a complete stop.

During the ride, you'll get to experience the breath-taking views of the Himalaya range and the raging Seti river.

Facilities of international standards with high priority given to safety and customer service, Manakamana Cable Car has had an overwhelming response from all the visitors.

White Water Rafting

For adventure seekers, rafting is the perfect way for an extended adventure on the river to get your adrenaline pumping to a new high. Nepal has some of the best rivers for rafting. Rafting trips for some is the highlight of their stay in Nepal. The waters in Nepal offer something for everybody: Grade 5-5+ rivers with raging white water rapids for the adventurous, to Grade 2-3 rivers with a few rapids for novices. Rafters also have a choice ranging from two to three day trips to trips of two or three weeks. Paddling is a fun way to enjoy the trip as well as bonding with fellow rafters.

A typical day in the river begins early morning when rafters arrive at the put-in point. The river guide begins with instructions on safety and emergencies before everyone is given life vests and helmets. This is a must for safety on the river at all times. Lunch on some white sandy beach around mid-day is fun. The best time for rafting is from October through mid-December and March to early May. In winter the water is cold and during the monsoons months from June through September, the white water sections are dangerous, but gentler stretches are easy to raft on.
