The Classic Everest Trek
Take it to the limits…life is Either a daring Adventure or nothing…
‘Our odyssey begins from the mid hills as we get to the foothills {base} of the highest mountain on earth’
On the footstep of pioneer Everest expeditions, rich valleys & lush green dales, traditional & colorful Sherpa villages, high alpine valleys & forest, in the shadows of high silver grey peaks fluffing with snow, & into the world's highest national park just below the world's supreme most peak, Mt. Everest.
Geographical information before the venture:
This trek is ideal for good acclimatization with overnight camping adjacent to old-world villages with their own monasteries, the root of the Sherpa and Tibetan Buddhism which lies in these steep slopes of Solu, as this traditional route passes equal to the elevation of Namche Bazaar as we discover the fertile valleys and the hospitality of the Sherpa people without the vast crowds found beyond Lukla on this classic Everest trail. The original expedition route between Jiri and Namche Bazaar has been all but ignored since the construction of the Lukla airport, sponsored by Sir Edmund Hillary in order to deliver supplies to the schools and hospital he founded.
The Everest region is understandably one of the most popular and fabulous destination for walkers and it offers some of the most fascinating and enjoyable trekking. This trek begins from the legendary classic trail of Jiri and thus concludes with a sweeping scenic flight from Lukla. The trek follows many farm villages en-route with beautiful views of the high snowcapped peaks, the only ones of its kind in the world, and to the highest spot in the program at Kalapathar for the outstanding & awesome landscapes of peaks and glaciers including Mt. Everest so close you could feel you can just summit it.
Our Everest Base Camp itinerary is the deluxe package in our Khumbu adventures. We include all the highlights of the Everest National Park including Namche Bazaar, Khumbu's Sherpa capital, unmatched view points of Kala Patthar (5,545m) and the always ever exciting Everest Base Camp, with time and opportunity to visit the Buddhist monasteries of Pangboche, one of the oldest in the area, and at Thyangboche, one of the newest as it was re-built after being burnt to the ground in 1934. This is pure adventure on some of the most beautiful mountain trails in the world.
