The Royal trek is one of those short and easy treks that can be called a relatively ‘soft hike’ and can be enjoyed by all age groups. For kids, It would be good to tag them along if they are 10 years & above. They would just love the adventure. It is called the Royal trek after the Prince of Wales who first trekked this picturesque region. It is also well known as the Annapurna Skyline trek. Charles, the Prince of Wales later remarked at a press brief that this was the best walk he ever had in his life
The scenic Pokhara valley is where it all starts and is your end point for the Royal trek that is so typical of its namesake. The trails follow a semi-circle route in the north-west direction of Pokhara along no higher than 1500m. It’s a hike that you can take real cool & easy…you enjoy it more.
The Royal trek leads you on a magical journey wherein you enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna range including the fishtail mountain Machhapuchre, Lamjung himal, Dhaulagiri and the Manaslu peaks; and on the way, you experience the rural lifestyle of Nepal and spend quiet moments beside the Begnas Lake. This is a camping trek that stirs the adventurous side of you….
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and then drive to Bijaypur. Trek to Kalikasthan.
Day 04: Trek to Patle
Day 05: Trek to Syaglung
Day 06: Trek concludes. Drive down to Pokhara.
Day 07: City of Pokhara tour, sightseeing and boating PM: Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 08: Depart Kathmandu.
